Business Segment Information
2019,the Company reorganized its segment reporting from
onereportable segment to
tworeportable segments, ITS and DME Services, due to changes in the Company's internal reporting and the information evaluated by its chief operating decision-maker. The Company's reportable segments are organized based on service platforms, with the ITS segment reflecting higher margin rental revenues that generally include payments made by
third-party and direct payers and the DME Services segment reflecting lower margin product sales and direct payer rental revenues. Resources are allocated and performance is assessed for these segments by the Company's Chief Executive Officer, whom the Company has determined to be its chief operating decision-maker. The Company believes that reporting performance at the gross profit level is the best indicator of segment performance.

The presentation of gross profit above was revised from the
2019Consolidated Financial Statements to include inter-segment revenues in the DME Services segment column from the prior presentation within the Corporate/Eliminations column. This revision is considered immaterial to the prior period based on the Company's assessment.

Reportable segments include those that meet any of the following quantitative thresholds a) it's reported revenue, including sales to external customers and intersegment sales or transfers is 10 percent or more of the combined revenue, internal and external, of all operating segments b) the absolute amount of its reported profit or loss is 10 percent or more of the greater, in absolute amount of 1) the combined reported profit of all operating segments that did not report a loss or 2) the combined reported loss of all operating segments that did report a loss c) its assets are 10 percent or more of the combined assets of all operating segments.
